There has been some uncertainty about the origin of a certain photograph of Norfolk Police Chief Larry Boone, shown here. The photograph was one of a number of photographs appearing in a news story published on May 3, 2020 by 13NewsNow (www.13newsnow.com) titled “People in Norfolk Hold Justice for George Floyd Demonstrations.” The photo is credited to 13NewsNow reporter Angelo Vargas. The story and photo (the tenth of sixteen photos), along with a corresponding video story titled “Demonstrators in Norfolk March, Rally at Locations Throughout City,” is available through this link. A segment of the video featuring the Police Chief, which is similar to the photograph, begins 47 seconds into the video.
