About Hogge Law

About Raymond L. Hogge, Jr.

Raymond L. Hogge, Jr. is the founding member of Hogge Law. Since 1989, Mr. Hogge has advised public and private employers across Virginia in all aspects of human resource management, including recruiting, hiring, discipline, discharge, personnel policies, employment contracts, noncompete agreements, civil rights, wages and hours, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, workplace safety, and labor relations, and represents them in employment-related litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings. He is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond School of Law, where he served as Lead Articles Editor of University of Richmond Law Review.  He has served as chairperson of the Employment Law Section of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and chairperson of the Personnel Section of the International Municipal Lawyers Association.  He is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, the American Bar Association (Employment Law Section, Litigation Section), the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.  He is a frequest speaker on labor and employment Law issues, and his writings have been published in journals including the International Municipal Lawyers Association's Municipal Lawyer and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys' Journal of Civil Litigation.  He is a native of Hampton Roads, and resides in Norfolk with his wife of over 20 years and their three children.
