EEOC Issues Guidance: Questions and Answers About Cancer in the Workplace and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

In August of 2005, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued a new guidance entitled "Questions and Answers About Cancer in the Workplace and the Americans with Disabilities Act."  The guidance addresses issues such as when cancer is an ADA "disability," when an employer may ask an applicant or employee cancer-related questions, reasonable accommodations for employees with cancer, and ways of avoiding disability discrimination against applicant and employees with cancer.

The guidance can be accessed on the EEOC website (www.eeoc.gov), or you may view the guidance (August 3, 2005 release) by clicking here.
